7 Sep 1914 Special Reserve Commission Lieutenant RAMC.

19 Sep 1914 Mobilised.

1914–1916 Served in India.

1 Apr 1915 Captain RAMC.

1916 Served in Mesopotamia.

1916–1918 Served in India.

1918–1920 Served in Hong Kong.

1 Oct 1920 Permanent Regular Army Commission Temporary Captain RAMC.

1920–1927 Served in India.

7 Sept 1926 Major RAMC.

1927 Served with the British Army of the Rhine.

11 Apr 1930 Arrived from Dover England, for duty at Mtarfa Hospital.

14 Jan 1931 Home leave.

14 Feb 1931 Returned from England.

June 1931 Won the tennis singles and the doubles in partnership with Maj C W Bowle.

1 Feb 1932 To England on sick leave. On the eve of his departure on leave had the misfortune to fracture his patella.

4 Dec 1932 Reduced to half-pay.

19 Mar 1933 Restored to full-pay.

1934–1937 Served in Malaya.

30 Sept 1937 Retired but rejoined 2 Sept 1939.

1939–1940 Served with the British Expeditionary Force France.

21 June 1949 Retired.

29 May 1958 Died in hospital aged 72 years. Resided at 4 Palace Road, East Molesey. Lies buried at the municipal cemetery Molesey Surrey.
