14 July 1808 Physician to the Forces on a daily rate of pay of 19 shillings.
1808-1813 Served in the Peninsular War.
3 Apr 1813 Birth of a son, Melville Neale.
25 Sep 1814 Relegated to half-pay.
21 Sep 1815 Recalled to full-pay.
Malta 26 July 1823 Arrived from England as Physician to the Forces. However, his state of health was so impaired that he was altogether unfit for duty. He obtained 3 months leave for the recovery of his health.
12 Dec 1823 Returned to Engalnd.
25 Feb 1824 Retired to half-pay.
