1864 On duty in the Falkland Islands.

1866 On duty at Chatham.
1867 – 1869 On duty in Bengal.
20 Oct 1869 Promoted Staff Surgeon vice Staff Surgeon Alexander Robert Kilroy who moved to the Royal Artillery.
17 Nov 1869 Became Surgeon 36th (Herefordshire) Regiment on the death of Surgeon Arthur Bell 36th Regiment at Peshawar, on 2 October 1869.
3 Nov 1873 Reduced to half-pay.
4 Nov 1874 Resigned.
