19 Dec 1811 Assistant Surgeon 33rd (1st York, West Riding) Regiment of Foot.
12 Nov 1812 Surgeon Staff.
25 Dec 1812 Surgeon 37th (North Hampshire) Regiment. Served in the Peninsular War.
17 Mar 1814 Surgeon Staff.
5 Nov 1829 Retired with rank of Deputy Inspector of Hospitals.
1831 Accompanied Major–General Sir Evan M MacGregor, Governor General of Dominica and the Windward Isles, as secretary to the West Indies.
8 Apr 1832 Died at Dominica following a fall with his horse.
