8 Sept 1806 War Office letter dated 8 Sep 1806: "I have the Secretary-at-War directions to transmit for the consideration of HRH The Commander-in-Chief the enclosed letter from the Surgeon General, submitting for the reasons therein mentioned, the propriety of nominating Hospital Mate Strohmeyer for the assistant surgency of Froberg's Levy".1
