1857 Served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny.
2 Mar 1858 Awarded by the Sultan the Imperial Order of the Medjidie (5th Class) for his distinguished services before the enemy during the war against Russia.
1 June 1860 Assistant Surgeon Royal Artillery.
20 June 1865 Surgeon-Major 22nd Regiment.
20 June 1865 Arrived from England.
5 July 1865 Left for Mauritius.
21 Aug 1872 Surgeon-Major Royal Artillery.

25 Apr 1882 Died a few days after attaining his fifty-first birthday. For six years he had been subject to loco-motor ataxia.
