20 Sep 1839 Commissioned Assistant Surgeon 92nd (Highland) Regiment of Foot, vice Assistant Surgeon James Wilson, promoted to the Staff on the death of Surgeon George John, on 11 Aug 1839.
15 Apr 1840 Arrived at Malta. Took up quarters at Fort Ricasoli and was to proceed to the Ionian Islands1.
9 Jan 1841 Left for the West Indies.
28 Apr 1846 Exchanged with Staff Assistant Surgeon Henry Downes, who became Assistant Surgeon 92nd Foot.
12 Jan 1849 Staff Surgeon of the 2nd Class.
16 Mar 1849 Surgeon 31st (Huntingdonshire) Regiment of Foot.
18 July 1851 Exchanged with Staff Surgeon of the 2nd Class John Barton St Croix Crosse.
11 Oct 1851 Died in London. On 14 Nov 1851, Surgeon Andrew Ferguson 26th Foot, filled the vacancy created by the death of Staff Surgeon Millingen.
