17 Oct 1883 Returned to Malta.
21 Feb 1884 Left for Egypt.
1884–1885 Served in the Nile Expedition, and in the operations of the Sudan Frontier Field Force in 1885–86.
3 Aug 1888 Retired on temporary half-pay, which was converted into retired pay on 3 August 1889.
20 Oct 1889 Died in Glasnevin, Dublin.
