Forrest Hospital
Spinola Palace St Julian's Bay was completed in 1688 by Chev Fra Pawlo Rafael Spinola, Grand Prior of Lombardy. In 1860 it was converted into a military hospital, and named after Inspector General John Forrest.

7 July 1879 Educated in the school of the Irish College of Surgeons.
Passed his examination for the licence to practice medicine of the King and Queen's College of Physician in Ireland.

6 Mar 1880 Commissioned Surgeon.

6 Mar 1892 Surgeon-Major.

6 Mar 1892 RAMC Major.

1895 Served on the expedition for the relief of Chitral on the North-West Frontier of India.

6 Mar 1900 Lieutenant Colonel.

28 July 1909 Arrived from Crete following the British evacuation of the island.

1910 Officer in charge Forrest Military Hospital Julian's Bay.

1911 Officer in charge Forrest Military Hospital St Julian's Bay.

3 July 1911 Retired.

Sep 1911 Left Malta.

28 July 1914 Start of the Great War.

4 Aug 1914 Britain declares war on Germany.

5 Aug 1914 Rejoined for service during the Great War.
