Valletta hospital
The Holy Infirmary of the Knights of St John (La Sacra Infermeria) was commenced in 1574 by Grand Master Jean de la Cassiere (1572-82). It served as a Garrison Hospital till 1920.

Elder son of Mathew Richard Weld of the Indian Civil Service. Was educated at Charring Cross Hospital and took his MRCS LRCP in 1897.

27 July 1898 Lieutenant.

11 Oct 1899–31 May 1902 Anglo Boer War.

1900–1902 Served in South Africa, when he took part in the defence of Ladysmith.

27 July 1901 Captain.

9 June 1903 Married Edith Violet Mooney, born March 1876, daughter of Lieutenant John Drought Enragh-Moony, 13th Somersetshire Light Infantry.

22 July 1905 Birth of a son at Davenport.

16 Mar 1908 Birth of a daughter at the Curragh.

7 Jan 1909 Arrived from Curragh Co. Kildare Ireland.
