1937 Qualified at Glasgow. Commissioned in the RAMC soon after qualifying at the start of WW II. Spent three years in Malta before moving to Italy. Attained the rank of Major, was awarded the Polish Cross of Valour, and was mentioned in dispatches.
13 Nov 1940 Arrived from England with 12 Fld Regt RA. Posted to Advanced Dressing Station Tarxien for duty. On 26 November Lt Laurence Handley Ashken left the ADS for England and Lt Kennedy took over Ashken's area of responsibility
1941 On garrison duty.
1942 On garrison duty.
12 Mar 1943 Posted from 161st (EA) Fld Amb to 90 General Hospital.
2 July 1943 Reported for duty to No 39 General Hospital from No 90 General Hospital.
18 Sept 1943 Posted from No 39 General Hospital to 12th Field Regt RA.
In 1947, after house jobs at the Victoria Infirmary, joined a long established General Practice in Glasgow.
