1897 – 1898 Served in the Tirah Campaign North West Frontier British India.
25 Dec–30 Dec 1897 Took part in the action at Dargai, capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes and operations in the Bazar Valley
29 Oct 1905 Major RAMC.
1912 Compiled the Handbook on military sanitation for regular officers. He contributed articles to the Journal of the Royal Army Medical Corps, the Br Med J (19) and Indian Medical Gazette.
1914 – 1915 Served in France.
1 Mar 1915 Lieutenant Colonel RAMC.
20 Aug 1916 Arrived from England.
