9 Apr 1794 Staff Surgeon on the continent under HRH Frederick Duke of York.

30 Aug 1799 Staff Surgeon.

Malta Nov 1801 Arrived from Egypt. Took part in the Expedition under Sir Ralph Abercrombie.

Malta 25 June 1802 Placed on half-pay.

21 Feb 1809 Returned to full-pay with the rank of Staff Surgeon.

18 Jan 1816 Deputy Inspector of Hospitals.

25 Jan 1816 Retired on half-pay.

1817 Published in 8 volumes at price 7 shillings An essay on the common cause and prevention of hepatitis, or disorder of the liver, and of bilious complaints in general, as well in India as in Europe. With an appendix, particularly addressed to the medical profession, recommending the old submuriates of mercury in preference to that now in use.

9 Dec 1826 Died in Knightsbridge.

13 Aug 1829 Death in Knightsbridge of Sarah Rhoda Griffith, widow of Deputy Inspector of Hospitals Charles Griffith.
