7 Nov 1834 Aged 44 years. Promoted surgeon after 22 years service. Had served between 21 and 22 years on full pay before gaining promotion.
Appointed Surgeon 28th (North Gloucestershire) Regiment vice Surgeon Archibald Campbell Fraser 28th Foot who moved to the Staff on the retirement of Staff Surgeon John Leath. The vacancy in 43rd Foot was filled by Assistant Surgeon Thomas Hume 84th Foot.
19 June 1835 Surgeon 46th (South Devonshire) Regiment of Foot.
17 Feb 1843 Retired.
