25 Mar 1800 Hospital Mate at the General Hospital Zejtun.
25 May–14 Aug 1800 On the orders of the Commander in Chief Sir Ralph Abercrombie, was attached to 48th Foot during the absence of assistant surgeon William Hill, away in England with invalids.
1 Sep 1800 Listed in the Monthly Returns of Malta as one of two Hospital Mates during the blockade of the French. The other Hospital Mate was Mr Norman George.
1801 Hospital Mate.
22 May 1801 Second assistant surgeon 1st/35th (Dorsetshire) Regiment of Foot on transfer from the Medical Staff.
25 Oct 1802 Ordered home in consequence of the reduction of the army following the cessation of hostilities with France.
5 Nov 1802 Assistant Surgeon 11th Regiment of Dragoons.
17 Dec 1802 Assistant Surgeon 18th Regiment of Dragoons.
23 July 1803 Assistant Surgeon 30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot.
8 Oct 1803 Assistant Surgeon 6th Royal Garrison Battalion.
26 Aug 1803 Hospital Mate Mr Anderson received the first payment of £18 10s 6d in prize money from the proceeds of the property captured in Malta on 4 September 1800. The money was paid to Sarah Anderson.
26 Oct 1803 Received a further payment of £24 14s in prize money to bring his total first payment to £43 4s 6d, which was the sum paid out paid to lieutenants and ensigns in the infantry.
27 July 1804 Received his second payment of £14 1s 0d in prize money from the proceeds of the property captured in Malta on 4 September 1800.
