9 May 1811 Appointed Hospital Mate for General Service.

18 May 1812 Assistant Surgeon 8th (The King's) Regiment.

17 Mar 1818 Arrived from Ireland.

25 May 1819 Left for the Ionian Islands.

Exchanged with assistant surgeon Ingham Charles Thomas.

4 Apr 1822 Assistant Surgeon 5th Royal Veteran Battalion.

27 Sep 1831 Recalled from half-pay of the 5th Royal Veteran Battalion. Was appointed assistant surgeon 1st Regiment of Dragoons by exchange with assistant surgeon Samuel Barry who took the half-pay of 5th Royal Veteran Battalion.

29 May 1835 Aged 45 years. Promoted surgeon 16th (Bedfordshire) Regiment of Foot after 24 years service. Had served between 14 and 15 years on full pay before gaining promotion.

24 Mar 1843 Appointed Surgeon 2nd Dragoon Guards. The vacancy in 16th Foot, was filled by Surgeon Thomas Young half-pay 31st Foot.

22 May 1846 Retired on half-pay. The vacancy in 2nd Dragoon Guards was filled by Staff Surgeon of the Second Class Alexander George Home. Subsequently, Assistant Surgeon Joseph Samuel Prendergast 77th Foot, became Staff Surgeon of the 2nd Class vice Home.
