1860 On duty with his regiment.
12 Jan 1861 In his confidential report PMO Malta reported that he was: A very good officer, performs his duties in a most satisfactory manner

24 May 1861 Appointed Staff Assistant Surgeon from the 22nd Foot vice Staff Assistant Surgeon Robert De Burgh Riordan who was placed on half-pay.
1862 On duty with his regiment.
1863 On duty with his regiment. Contributed the sum of £9 16 shillings to the Army Medical Officers Benevolent Fund.
25 Aug 1864 Returned to England.
1865–1867 On duty at Dover.
7 Aug 1867 Assistant Surgeon Corps of Royal Engineers.
1868–1869 On duty with the Royal Engineers at Aldershot.
1870–1873 On duty with the Royal Engineers at Bermuda.
