24 Mar 1941 Officer-in-charge Advanced Dressing Station Luqa. Together with 12 other ranks "B" Coy 161st (EA) Fld Amb formed an advanced party for setting up ADS Luqa. On 29 Mar another 4 other ranks "B" Coy joined ADS Luqa from St Paul's Hutments which became operational on 7 Apr 1941.
ADS St Andrews was also the training centre for courses in First Aid and Stretcher Drill. During Feb 1941, courses were run by Maj Murray Wood, Lt Raynes D M, and Surg-Lt Tabone Vincent RMA.
1 Mar 1942 Moved from ADS Zabbar to MDS Hamrun. Assumed the duties of 2nd in command (2/ic) 161st (East Anglian) Field Ambulance vice Maj Phineas Weiner.
16 Feb 1943 Attended a conference with officers of 1 (M) Infantry Brigade in connection with Bde Attack Exercise Cecelia.
17 Feb 1943 Appointed SMO (South) on the repatriation to England of Lt Col Gilbert Wolridge Rose.
