HMHS Dinard
HMHS Dinard in tow after being mined on D Day (RAMC/839).

8 Aug 1943 OC HQ Staff 15th Ind Bde Gp Fld Amb moved to RS "BUSH" Hamrun and took over the premises vacated by 161st (EA) Ind Bde Gp Fld Amb. This was the Reception Station, which consisted of cattle sheds around a central courtyard and which had been adapted for use as wards and admin offices, QM stores, kitchen, day rooms and canteens. From 8 Aug 1943, 15th Independent Brigade Group Field Ambulance covered the whole of Malta.

8 Aug 1943 SMO's Staff and HQ Staff, with Capts Wilson, Edmunds, and Lt Rosenmann moved to "Bush" Reception Station Hamrun, and took over the premises formerly occupied by 161 Fld Amb.

23 Nov 1943 On 23 November 1943, HMHS Dinard arrived and disembarked 57 stretcher cases and 134 walking wounded. On 24 November 1943, 15 Fd Amb embarked on HMHS Dinard and sailed from Malta for Syracuse and disembarked at Brindisi. Officers embarked were T/Lt Col T F Briggs, T/Maj W R M Morton, T/Maj G A Wilson, Capt P K D Edmunds, Capt Christie R, Lt (QM) Cox and Lt Coddington W R RASC.
